Ingredients
Burgers
Fries
- French fries (frozen or homemade)
Equipment
- Weber grill (set up with two-zone fire)
- 1/4 sheet pan
- Plastic bag for flattening burgers
- Oven with broiler
Directions
- Prep the Grill:
Set up your Weber grill with a two-zone fire, where one side is hot for searing and the other is indirect heat for finishing the burgers.
- Prepare the Burgers:
Divide the pound of ground beef into six equal portions. Flatten each burger using a plastic bag to get an even thickness. Season both sides of the patties generously with Duce’s Wild Texas Rub.
- Grill the Burgers:
Grill the burgers on the hot side of the grill for 3-4 minutes per side, getting a nice sear. After flipping, place the patties on a 1/4 sheet pan and top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Move the pan to the indirect side of the grill to finish cooking and melt the cheese, letting the juices stay in the pan.
- Cook the Fries:
Prepare the French fries in the oven according to the package or recipe instructions. For extra crispiness, turn on the broiler for the last couple of minutes to brown the fries.
- Assemble the Burgers:
Serve the grilled burgers with your family’s favorite toppings: dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, raw onion, sliced tomato, ketchup, mustard, and Duce's Wild Competition Sauce.
- Serve:
Plate the burgers alongside the crispy oven-baked fries and enjoy a delicious family BBQ meal.
